An exploration in color, Paint density, and movement.
When I first saw an abstract acrylic pouring painting, I instantly fell in love with the complexity in the way the paints interact with one another. There are so many little details to take notice of with each painting. Every time I glance at one, my eye is drawn to something new I didn’t notice before.
AMAZED AT THE COSMOS
8x10 Original
If you look just right, you may catch the hint of a face staring out into the cosmos. I love the play of light and dark on this piece.
RIBBONS
8x10 Original
I love the lacing of the paint in this little beauty. The little hints of copper peaking through are just lovely.
Glaciers
11x14 Original
This painting was my first attempt at using enamel paint alongside the acrylic. This technique lent itself to fantastic effects. The bubbles remind me of glacial ice broken off in the spring and floating in the currents.
Utah
11x14 Original
This piece invokes the feeling of Zion National Park. The rings feel like rock.
Static
11x14 Original
The longer you look at this piece the more details will pop out. This turquoise and gold is just stunning.
